Quick setup, then just step on and talk
Install, pair a wake word, and start listening. Only the essential steps are listed.
Get the Chrome extensionTemporary linkInstall and pair with a ChatGPT project
Install “Voice AI Assistant” from the Chrome Web Store (temporary link). Open the ChatGPT project page you want to use, click the extension and choose “Add current tab”, set a wake word (for example, “Hey Amanda”) and save. If you need a specific conversation, you can add that conversation's tab too. The temporary link will be replaced once the extension is officially published.
Allow the microphone and start listening
Click the ear icon to start listening. The first time, read the speech recognition notice, agree, and allow Chrome to use your microphone, then go back to the extension and click “Start listening”. While Chrome stays open and your computer is awake, saying the wake word opens the paired ChatGPT voice; listening resumes when the call ends. Browser speech recognition may use online services and send audio, so don't turn it on during sensitive conversations.
